The Historical Museum in Kharkov
There are two types of expositions: stationary, held in the museum itself and some are mobile.
There is a system of constantly functioning expositions and stationary shows, reflecting the most important periods of Kharkov history. Among them:
“The world of the past”: the unique museum collection of antiques. You can see the antique things, belongings of the Kharkov citizens of XVIII – the beginning of XX.
“At the centuries’ crossroads”: it enjoys the particular popularity of the visitors. It opens the pages of the ancient history of Kharkov, beginning from the first settlements of the late paleolith, ending with the Middle Ages. The excursion includes the story about the economy, peculiarities of citizens’ way of life, religious faiths of different cultures that had been existing on the territory of Kharkov region in the course of a thousand years.
“Ŕrsenal”: the exposition of holographic copies and original museum displays – arms, uniform and equipment of the XII-XX centuries. “Mysterious treasures”: the exposition of Scythian arts, made from gold, some discoveries of treasures, coins, arms (weapons).
“Kharkov of 1941-1943”: the exposition is devoted to Kharkov release of german-fascist aggressors.

Police Museum
The Police Museum is one of the oldest museums in Kharkov. It was restored under the initiative of Vitali Muzyka, the head of the regional domestic affairs department. Moreover a memorial complex was created on the territory of the museum. A monument to the police officers, perished during the execution of their duties in peaceful time, was erected in 1995. The museum represents a vast collection of counterfeit money, documents and weapons seized from bandits. The exhibition provides its visitors with an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the development of the enforcement law service.
