Museum of Regional Studies

Kherson Art Museum

The museum is named after Alexey Shovkuneko, a famous Ukrainian painter. It was founded in 1978, when Kherson was celebrating its 200 th birthday. The museum exhibits over 7 thousand pieces which make up one of the riches collections in Ukraine . The museum occupies a hundred-years-old building which can give you an idea of Kherson in 1900s.
