Nikolaev Russian Arts and Drama Theatre

The building of Russian Arts and Drama Theatre was built in 1881 by the project of the engineer Brusnitski. Later Mr.Shefer has become the owner of the theatre. During the Civil War in 1919 the building was destroyed twice and built again only in 1925, and in 1944 in was left in ruins by German occupants again. The theatre was newly restored in 1946 and a portico with 4 pillars was added to it. On its stage performed such famous actors and actresses as Komissarievskaya, Savina, Sobinov, Shalyapin, poet Mayakovski.

Nikolaev Academic Ukraine Theatre of Drama and Music Comedy (since 2001)

Theatre Producer is Oleg Ignatiev, Theatre Director is Nikolai Berson. The theatre was founded in 1927.
