Tver Academic Drama Theatre

Tver Academic Drama Theatre is one of the oldest theatres in Russia and was founded in 1745. Since that time it is the main source of spread and preservation of culture and art in the city. Among its staging there are masterpieces of Russian and World classics and literary lions and plays by modern authors. The theatre has in its repertoire plays written by Tchekhov, Ostrovskiy, Pushkin, Lenskiy, Gontcharov, Gogol, Gorky , Shakespeare, Neil, Balsak, Fletcher, Gui de Mopassant, etc.

Tver Academic Regional Phylarmony

Tver chamber orchestra “Russian Kamerata” is one of the best in Russia . Next to it in Tver Academic Regional Phylarmony rehearses the famous Tver orchestra, well known in many European countries.

Concert activity: different kinds of festivals, International Jazz Festival, Children programs, Opera staging, etc.

Youth Theatre

Youth Theatre was opened in 1932. During the World War II its building was completely destroyed, and it recommenced its activity only in 1958. Since that time lots of fine plays were staged on its scene and it turned into a peculiar centre of Youth holidays.
